The Conscious and Subconscious self
As we move along the rainbow road of our timeline, we face the question of why we live in the patterns that we do and how to transform them into something more expansive.
To understand this, we must look deeply into the nature of the Abundant and Friendly Universe and how that applies to our movement from scarcity to Abundance.
Manifestation in our lives is deeply affected by the impressions of the Akashawhich exist within our subconscious.
From a structural perspective, the conditions of our manifestation are the embodiment of subtle impressions within the structure of the self. To return to our metaphor of Water in it’s various states, consider an iceberg. In this example, the part of the iceberg that sits above the waterline is our conscious awareness. Beneath it, and of far greater mass and influence upon the surrounding oceanscape, is our subconscious, containing within it our portion of the patterns within the collective field that must be addressed to allow for easier manifestation aligned with our Divine design, the seed within.
This has a tremendous effect on our manifestation, for the unknown and far greater mass of what lay beneath the surface of our consciousness awareness, these impressions within the “ice’ of the subconscious then manifest on the surface of our experience as the various conditions of our lives. They are the substance of sanskara, of karma and dharma and the definition of the progression of that dissolution across time.
To truly have effective manifestation, we must clear the “subconscious tank”, the patterns below the surface of our awareness which have a much deeper effect on our reality.
All healing and movement towards wholeness involves the clearing of these causal impressions which, on the most subtle level of form, literally create the conditions of our incarnation from one droplet of form to another.
Such is a great task, yet within this mass of self and the necessity of clearing it’s subconscious patterns lay a tremendous gift. The purpose of one’s life, waiting to be unearthed through the ice. The seed within.
The Lens of Perception
To make the lens of the self easier to understand, let us look at the metaphor of a camera lens. In this example, imagine that you can ONLY look through that lens. That you and the lens are one. All you see passes through this lens. It is literally your window of perception to reality.
In this context, the qualities of consciousness that lay within the substance of our current self form the glass of that lens. Depending on the structure of those impressions, we see entirely different realities.
Yet what happens when that lens is muddy?
When our lens of perception is muddy, we cannot see clearly. Seen through the detritus and shadows created by the smudges on the lens, all we see are partial images, distorted by the mud. In the context of yoga, this distortion upon our perception is the mud we must clear for the lotus of our true awareness to blossom.
Perceiving and Receiving
The relationship between perception and Abundance
Understand, until we are capable of stepping outside of the self and viewing things from a larger vantage, we only see that which can be seen through our current lens.
In order to shift into a reality where we are able to receive the Abundance that is our birthright, we must clear the lens of self, meticulously removing the subconscious patterns which manifest as muddy distortions to our point of view. This is an active process which defines the nature of self-work, and relates directly to the Attractive and Subtractive principles of manifestation.
Awareness and Abundance
We live in an Abundant universe, full of Love, expansion and Grace. Yet in order to receive that treasure in it’s various forms, we must deepen our awareness of what truly is.
All things occur in the field of awareness. It is the conduit through which we are able to perceive and receive the Abundance of the Creation. When we live in the shallows of our awareness, we see only the surface of the World. Yet as we deepen into our self, as we cultivate our perception of the ever-more subtle distinctions of what is, we live a more robust life, bathing in the glory of the Creation that was always there, waiting to be seen.
This increase in awareness is paralleled by an increase in Abundance, for awareness is the conduit by which energy flows. It is very much like being in a dark room filled with treasure.
Without awareness, one cannot see the treasure, and assumes in it’s ignorance that it does not exist. Yet this is untrue. As stated earlier, we live in an Abundant universe. What changes is not the Abundance, but our perception and reception of it.
As a simple metaphor, consider that you are holding a candle in that room. Here and there, you can make out somewhat glittering things, yet it is muted, faded, and barely seen.
Now imagine that you are holding a flashlight. With this degree of luminance, more of the sparkly objects can be seen. You start to realize that there is something there.
Now, a searchlight. A much larger amount of luminance, which reveals that you have been standing in the middle of a pile of treasure. The room has not changed. You have.
Awareness is the key to Abundance.
Abundance is our birthright. Grace and Goodness are the true underlying tones of the Creation.
In the context of the Mythica, our heroic journey is one of movement from the distorted and unenlightened version of our reality into a more Abundant, Graceful manifestation. It is a Path of clearing and transformation, in which we dissolve the conditions of scarcity and limitation into a more expansive reality.
Key to this is the understanding that we live in a Friendly Universe. That despite what things seem to be on the surface of our perception, we live in a benevolent reality that wishes to help us discover who we really are. This is a grand evolution that takes place across a landscape of experiences which reveal the patterns within our own consciousness that are creating our manifestation.
In this context, our sacred Path is a heroic journey to the discovery of our seed within, the Gift of our being that wishes to express itself out into the World, occurring in the context of a Friendly Universe that wishes to help us.
As we travel along our journey, we encounter any number of experiences, trials and challenges, questions and confusions, which form the basis of our personal evolution. One in which we must face the distorted patterns within ourselves that are misaligned with the Abundant nature of the Universe. In which we must learn how to transform the substance of our consciousness to live in a more expansive reality.
This is challenging, for in our blossoming awareness, we do not always remember that we live in a Friendly Universe. As we face our challenges, we do not always recognize that the scarce and fearful ways in which we are perceiving our experience are not the Truth, but a distortion from the ever-expansive energy which truly is.
As we make our sacred journey deeper into the Mythica, we come to understand that all things relate to the Friendly universe and our perception and reception of the abundance that is our birthright.
Shadows & Distortions
There is no enlightenment without ignorance. No treasure, without trial. If we already lived in the magickal World, there woud nowhere to go.
In a general sense, distortions are the warped version of a prime Divine quality, such as Love, Compassion, etc. When these vibrational distortions exist in the subtle and causal realms of our current self, we experience their reflection in our reality.
In the context of many healing arts and our journey through the Mythica, these misaligned patterns are often referred to as ‘shadows’, implying, ‘where the light is blocked’. Here, we experience the distorted versions of the qualities of consciousness which define our human experience. For example, the distortion of Abundance is scarcity. The distortion of Love is hate. The distortion of Hope is despair.
We live in an Abundant universe. In which our Path is supported by a benevolent intelligence, in which health and wholeness are our birthright. Yet when we live in subconscious patterns of distortion and scarcity, we cannot access that goodness consistently. Healing those confusions is the zeitgeist of this Age, the wave of necessary healing to dissolve the patterns of the old paradigm and step into the new.
Yet while this is the baseline of our experience, conditions exist which create conditions distorted from this. Such is the nature of our progression from ignorance to self-Realization seen on a much vaster scale, where we recognize the nature of distortion and it’s function in a Loving universe.
While we are in the thick of these patterns, it is very difficult to see clearly. Imagine that you are looking through a camera lens. That you ARE the lens, and everything you see it related to the condition of that lens. Distortions and defiements in this case would be mud upon that lens, obscuring your view of what truly is.
The Big Picture – Distortions are SHARED
There is no separation. What is perceived as an “individual” distortion is in fact one’s portion of qualities of consciousness within the field of the Akasha playing out in one’s circumstance through the World Tree of the material plane.
As this quality expresses itself through the surface of conditions, it manifests as people, places, and the access of one’s consciousness, all serving the much larger unfoldment of our interwoven causality. What occurs as the minutia of attitudes and actions is never separate, but rather an expression of that quality moving through it’s aspect of resolving distortion.
Around this more expansive sense of gravity revolve the “individual” expressions of that quality, relative to the unique conditions of one’s locus of self and it’s function within the shared unfoldment.
As we delve deeper into this understanding, the base point of our approach to healing and the way in which we interpret our circumstance changes profoundly. We come to see that we are all partially responsible for the patterns within the collective field, for such is the substance from which we are made. This affects the axis around which we engage in the projection of blame or shame through the distortion that there is anything other than the Self and it’s facets.
In the context of one’s heroic journey, the Shadows within one’s substance are the antagonist, the challenge and trial that must be surmounted to step into a brighter reality.
Clearing your lens of perception
Yet how to do this? How to clear the distortions and shadows that lay within the subconscious and obscure our vision of a brighter reality? How do we move through the patterns that lay beneath our consciousness awareness?
