Physics of the Quest
The Path and the Land
The Heroic Journey and the Landscape of Legend
Our lives are Stories. A movement through the circumstances of our sacred Path. The heroic journey to the realization of who we really are.
As we do this, we have a great adventure. A gradual movement deeper and deeper into the powers and talents waiting to be discovered inside of our consciousness.
Such is the journey we share, making our way to the new paradigm of human evolution.
Many of us are familiar with the idea of the heroic journey, presented by the famed scholar Joseph Campbell and his visionary works. We have come to see a part of the underlying pattern of our lives. To see the context in which our Path unfolds as part of a beautiful progression of living myth.
We see the Path. Yet what does the Path move through? What is the nature of the patterns that define our lives? The traditions, the mythologies, the many ways in which we walk that heroic journey? What is the nature of the synchronicities that link our Paths together?
Here, we discover the landscape of myth, the canvas upon which our Path is drawn.
The Sacred Path
Each of us has a sacred Path. Our journey through the experience of being human. Such is the beautiful timeline of our Story, the movement through the experiences of our lives. It is on this sacred Path that we embark upon our Quest, to make the noble journey from ignorance to the realizastion of who and what we really are.
As we walk along our sacred path, we move through many landscapes. Many different aspects of the Land. Our journey takes us through many elemental realms, natural conditions which define the shape of our journey.
We can find ourselves crossing over beautiful lakes filled with Water, or on the edges of great mountains fo Earth, through cities of brick & mortar to flights through the very air itself.
Over the course of our journey, we move through many different forms of terrain. From forests to cities, oceans to mountains, and across the many experiences of our lives. As we travel our way, we live within an entire landscape that is larger than our single footsteps, a much bigger thing that gives context to our path. Simply put, if there were no forest, there would no path.
Yet what is the nature of that forest, that ocean, that trail? What is it’s relationship to our unfoldment?
What is the nature of the LAND?
What is the substance of the forest? Of the temple? Of the city and the ocean? How do we come to appreciate the Land on which we walk the Path?
For this, we must make the journey deeper into ourself. To learn to appreciate the subtleties of vibration, the Abundance and Grace that lay just beneath the surface of our awareness. We must come to understand the nature of the Path and the Land.
The Mythica – The Lands Within
In the context of the heroic landscape, there is the surface perception of the Land and the subtle, the deeper perception of the vibrational reality through which our Path unfolds.
The easiest way to show this is through the medium of Water. In the illustration above, see the tree. In the rippling, changing water beneath we see it’s reflection. As we come to understand the context in which our heroic journey unfolds, we discover that we are moving across the landscape of our own inner World, reflected in the circumstance of our life.
As we journey into the Mythica, we shall explore how this inner World, always existing in parallel to the surface plane, forms the shape of our personal myth. Our journey from scarcity and distortion to the awareness of the abundance that is our birthright.
Here, we see an entirely different landscape. One that plays out in our inner
As we make our journey into the Mythica, we will be exploring this underland, the inner landscape that is more constant than the outer, and showing how those two planes coincide to form the real magical World.
As we witness our movement through this inner World, we see a different landscape. One of emotions, of scarcity and shadow, of trials and treasures, abundance, Grace and Wonder. We enter the World of the Mythica, discovering in the process the much larger majesty that exists for us.
Yet how do we make this journey? How do we understand our consciousness and it’s relationship to our experience? For this, we must look at the surface and subtle levels of our perception.
On the deep levels of realization, there is the perception of the substance of the Creation, that of akasha, as the material form of the mindstuff of the Divine. From such a vantage, one may perceive the elemental movements of that mindstuff, witnessing the many selves in their elemental purity.
From here, one may drop into varying degrees of the self, whereby the psychoemotional play of experiences that defines one’s timeline of self-realization is seen from both ‘inside’ the self and ‘outside’ that point of reference. One may witness the primal tones and their condition as relative to the harmony that is the underlying firmament of the Divine. Here, through a myriad of loci of awareness, we see glimpses of this underlying substance. From the point of view of our current horizon, associations are divined.
One of the ways in which we see this is in the relationship between our chakras and the psychoemotional states we experience. On a deeper level of understanding, this also implies the very substance of our manifest reality, for we are always living in the substance of our being in context.
For the yogi, understanding the Mythica is simply a deeper dive into the idea of our chakras and the correspondence between their condition, our state of being, and our personal and collective manifestation.
What the Mythica adds here is the context of this happening over time and space, deliberately illuminating the correspondence between the state of our inner “rainbow” and the manifestation of the many hues of that rainbow in the “outer” World. As we come to see this is expansive demonstration, the deeper nature of the self is revealed, a point of expression through the akasha, the material mindstuff of the Divine.
When we clear the distortions from our chakras, the associated psychoemotional patterns dissapear, for they are one and the same. When we change our experience of reality, we experience a different reality.
This is not a thing that happens instantaneously in most cases. It is something that moves progressively over time and space, it’s alchemical progress forming the firmament of what we experience as our personal evolution. As this is happening, the very colours within, perceived at subtle depth as the particular vibrations that define our current self, change.
When this happens, our reality changes. Physically. On the most subtle of levels, expressing the radiance of that inner substance in the halo of our manifest reality. As it happens over time and space, we see this changing canvas of inner and outer color along the spine of our timeline, our sacred Story of union with the root and crown of our potential expression wrought into our current personal myth.
This understanding underlies the definition of realms within the context of the Mythica as the inner and outer manifestation of the resonances of the chakras and the impressions within the self expressed through one’s experience. Such is the undercurrent of our personal heroic journey, the vibrational process that we experience as our sacred path.
Because of the law of reflection, that we live in the mirror of our own current state of being, when we are moving through a particular pattern, we are literally moving through it’s realm. It’s manifestation in the very real circumstance of our lives across time and space. In this way, we move along a vibrational landscape, a psychoshamanic journey across a primal World of archetypical energies which express themselves through our Story.
This is always going on. It is the basis for all shamanism, all yogas, all magicks. It is the understanding that all things are made of the mindstuff of the Divine, and we are having a necessarily limited viewpoint on that so that we can have a mortal experience. We are always moving through the substance of our own psychoemotional state, manifest in the circumstance of our life.
To work through the issues that manifest in one’s experience is to move through the shadow of that quality, the distorted version of it’s pristine state of expansion. As this happens over time and space, the colours of our chakras clear, which changes that reality. We walk the rainbow bridge from one manifest reality to another.
The Rainbow Bridge
Walking between Realities
When the vibrational patterns within our inner self change, our outer reaiity changes with it. It is this transformation, this movement between the various colours and luminances of vibrational texture that make up the substance of our self, that is the rainbow bridge (also known as the rainbow road). The bifrost between the loci (realities) of the World Tree.
In many mythologies there is the idea of the rainbow bridge. A portal between realities that exists within our consciousness. Classically, this is the idea that there is a passagway that one can take between the mundane reality of Earth to that of the Gods.
In the context of the Mythica, the many iterations and lore of mythology in the human plane are distorted, for they come from the erroneous idea that there is separation between the many aspects of the Self. From this point of error comes the idea that the ‘Gods’ and ‘Goddesses’, and realms of ‘Asgard’, ‘Midgard’, ‘Olympus’, and all the other ‘magickal worlds’ exist outside of the self and it’s resonant vibration.
From this perspective, the rainbow bridge is not a thing outside of the self, but the inner transformation. That which brings one from the realm fo ‘Midgard’ (the unrealized, unawakened version of oneself) to ‘Asgard’, the more Awakened and Divinely embodied version of oneself. This is the real movement between the realms.
When we walk between these vibrational conditions, we are moving across the rainbow bridge within our own self. This has the effect of changing our reality on the most structural of levels. This movement through the loci of different realities is our personal rainbow bridge through the many realms of the Akasha and the World Tree. The road upon which we walk our Path and fulfill our sacred Quest.
In one manner or another, we are always moving between realities.
We are always walking the rainbow bridge, the shifting colours of our inner landscape manifest as our outer experience. The textures of vibration which create our current self are always shifing in their endless process of becoming. As we gain awareness and understanding of what this means in terms of our manifest reality, we gain facility in shifting our conditions for the better.
Realms are the specific territories of the Underlands. The particular conditions that define one’s locus point in the akasha. They are the vibrational qualities in the subtle levels of one’s awareness which underlie the circumstances of one’s Path.
As we come to see the substrata of the Creation in it’s more elemental form, we are able to see our movement from one vibrational experience to another as a passage across many realms of being. We understand that what appears on the surface of our perception is a manifestation of the realms we are vibrationally embodying and their effect.
In this context, scarcity is a realm of being, as is Abundance. Similarly, the state of being when we are in a blissful state, or that of Heaven through Earth, is a realm, as are the many states of consciousness which lay within our human potential.
As we move along our heroic journey, we move through realms of experrience which reflect the changing conditions within our self in accordance with the Law of Reflection. When we exist in a distortion of a quality, such the distortion of Abundance that is the manifestation of scarcity, we are moving through it’s realm.
