All form, and thus all realities (or ‘realms’) within the Creation are made of the same primal substance, known as Akasha.

Akasha is consciousness itself seen as a primal clay, the starstuff from which all Worlds, from which all realities are made.  It is the Fifth element, the elemental principle that gives birth to all other elements and their endless movement through the spacetime of it’s substance.  In the mixture of these five elements, that of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Akasha (spacetime/ether/embodied awareness) one experiences all the conditions of material existence.  It is most subtle level of form before it dissolves back into the formlessness from whence it came, the initial place where the infinite intelligence of the Divine pours through into being.  It is form itself.  The substance of which the awareness is aware.

Akasha has an aspect that is transcendent of the other four elements.  It is the base element from which the other four emerge.  Eventually, after an infinity of changes, the base elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire dissolve back into the Akasha from which they were made.  Akasha is a meta-substance, that exists in the event horizon between form and formlessness itself.

Akasha is the context in which the phenomena known as ‘space’ and ‘time’ occurs, containing within it’s substance ALL potential events that have happened, are happening, or will ever happen in the Worlds of form.

It is the backdrop in which all events, that ever were or ever will be, happen for it is the substance of form itself.  It is the place where all timelines of all beings that will ever exist may be witnessed, and requires the highest levels of discernment and subtlety to perceive.

As the backdrop for all events, the Akasha is the initial point where Divine intelligence manifests in the World of form, setting the tone for the impressions that define the various Ages of the Universe in it’s cycle of expansion and contraction.  As this inertia coalesces through the primal elements, it forms the threads of interconnected cause and effect that underlie the synchronicities of our lives.

The Akasha is the canvas for the Akashic records, the timelines of our various selves and our shared part in the Great Story of our Divine unfoldment.  It is the context within which the endless play of cause and effect move through the material plane.

The Akasha and the World Tree

Fundamental to the journey to a brighter reality is understanding the relationship between the Akasha and the World Tree.  While the Akasha contains all impressions and manifestations that will ever happen, human reality occurs within the context of our current self and it’s relationship to time and space.

As Divine intelligence moves into form, the energetic imprint of that intention forms from the substance of the Akasha woven from the prime elements, crystallizing into the many states of being that define the material plane. In this way, we witness the Akasha and the World Tree as the same pattern, expressed in it’s quality of ‘Heaven’ and ‘Earth’.  They are different ways of looking at the same phenomena that change depending on where one looks from.

In the simplest form, the Akasha is the canvas of ALL spacetime, where and when all events happen.  The World Tree is how they are occurring now, in the physical plane.  While the Akasha is the space within which all past and future lives and their connections occur, there is a present Now that we are experiencing the mortal condition.

That Nowness, that “beingness”, of being awareness inhabiting a body in it’s current Character, made of the incarnate plane and the rootwork of synchronicities and interconnected patterns that defines it’s experience in the material plane, is the World Tree.

Akasha is the substance of form itself. The clay from which all forms are made.   It is the prima materia, the material of consciousness seen as a sculptural medium. It is the substance of the Goddess, of Shakti, of Form itself.   From this substance come an infinite number of configurations of Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Akasha to form all the various distinctions within reality, including the structure of our selves.  What we call our ‘individual’ experience and our current locus of viewpoint on reality.

All patterns across space and time exist in the Akasha.  It is the backdrop of the expression of consciousness itself.  When we experience the patterns of the Akasha in the material plane, in our current physical reality, it is known as the World Tree.

In the context of recognizing our true nature as awareness itself, Akasha, in it’smany configurations that we call material reality, is that which awareness is aware-of.

Considered by many traditions to be the fifth element often known as ‘space’ or ‘aether’, it is the most subtle of the elemental energies, as well as the most important to understand, for it contains within it all the processes of our unfolding awareness.

Everything in our existence happens within the context of the Akasha.  It is the backdrop, the stage, the tapestry upon which events happen.

The Akasha is the place where point-of-reference exists. The thing upon which we have ‘points-of-view’. It is the vibrational substance of reality itself.

This includes the concept of Time and Space, the coordinates around which the map of our synchronicity is anchored, what are known as locus points within the Akasha.  Moments of spacetime in which a set of conditions exists.

When we incarnate, we are made of the substance of the Akasha, viewing life through the unique lens made of akasha in the form of the five elements.  It is the primal ocean, of which our human selves are like bubbles upon the current. In the yogas of awareness, the Akasha is that which awareness is aware-of.

The Akasha and the World Tree have a special relationship.  In the context of the Mythica, they are recognized as mirror images of one another, the primal pattern of our unfoldment expressed in both the subtle and the material.

The Akasha and the World Tree are the same thing, expressing itself in the aspect of the immaterial and the material planes.  They are the embodiment of ‘Heaven’ and ‘Earth’.

While the Akasha expresses ALL possibilities that can ever happen across all time and space, the World Tree is the expression of those possibilities at this time, in the physical mortal World.

In the context of the mapping of the magickal World, the Akasha, from which the phrase “akashic records” is derived, is the space in which the threads of our Story weave together.  It is the canvas, the “space” upon which the many threads of our Stories intermingle, revealing the synchronicities and unfolding events of our circumstance.

When this pattern of interwoven synchronicities and stories occurs in the material plane, it is recognized as the World Tree, the physical map of akashic circumstance.

Very often in the ongoing narrative of the Mythica, Authors will refer to ‘seeing things through the Akasha’, or ‘I shifted the locus of my vantage through the Akasha”. This is intrinsically tied into the presentation of the magickal World, for all Worlds and all possibility occur within the space, or “aether” of the Akasha.

In many ancient texts, Akasha, or “aether” , is referred to as the “Sky”.  This can easily be misinterpreted to be the actual sky of the Earth plane when in fact it relates to the quality of the Heavenly realms of vibration from which matter in the Earth plane is formed.

The system of five elements are found in Vedas, especially Ayurveda, the pancha mahabhuta, or “five great elements”, of Hinduism are bhūmi (earth), ap or jala (water), tejas or agni (fire), marut, vayu or pavan (air or wind) and vyom or shunya (space or zero) or akash (aether or void). (from Wikipedia)

The Akasha is where the timelines of our lives unfold, the record of all actions that have or will occur within the Creation. She is the place where the akashic records exist, the ripples of our lives impressions upon the substance of the Creation. Depending on one’s degree of attainment and discernment, the Akasha can be divined, enabilng one to view events that occur in the past, present, or future.

All divination is an inquiry into the substance of the Akasha, whether conscious or subconscious. When beings refer to things ‘in the field’, such as synchronic thoughts or patterns, when they engage in any form of divination, they are referencing the Akasha. That which awareness is aware-of. This is a challenging endeavor, and requires the yogic quality of discernment to have accuracy.

We are already aware of the Akasha on some level, for it is the medium from which our very selves are made. As droplets of water within this vast Ocean of consciousness, we experience thoughts, impressions and other phenomena through the lens of awareness from this substance.

Timelines – Threads of the Akasha

In the context of the mapping of the magickal World, the Akasha, from which the phrase “akashic records” is derived, is the space in which the threads of our Story weave together.

In the context of the Mythica, all positions of vantage and the manifestations associated with them are a locus point around which the gravity of the self is arranged.  This concept is intrinsically tied into that of the lens of the self, realms and the underlands.

Aka Threads – aspects of the Akasha

There are many levels to viewing the substance of the Akasha that we call reality. Many distinctions and subtleties which may be cultivated and experienced. What appears on the surface to be solid forms is merely the interpretation of a much more subtle thing. As we continue to deepen our awareness and discernment of our experience, our perception of reality changes. We gain vantage into the deeper aspect of What Is.

On the deep levels of sensation, things can appear made of these threads. The patterns and rhythms of specific vibration. Seen at this level, the World resolves into an endless threadwork, the many small pieces weaving together into the Timeline, the thread of our lives in the Great Story.

Consider your life. There was a very specific moment of time and space when your current self was born. From there, you go on a journey through that same field of time and space, experiencing a series of events in which it intersects with the threads of other character, other beings across the World stage. It moves through a progression of events that occur in very specific moments in the akasha, part of a great pattern of which it has only a small window of awareness.

On this elemental level of perception, all aspects of form play out as these threads of light. These kinesthetic textures and synesthete colours, all part of the same field of unified substance. In this, we are like waves, moving to the rhythm of the ocean, fulfilling our integral part in the Great Story of humanities Awakening.

This beautiful thing is our thread, the unique aspect of the much larger tapestry of the Great Story, the more universal evolution of which we are all an intrinsic expression. To see things in this way, to see the strings and threads of our shared heroic narrative, is integral to the structure of the Mythica

How this relates to your Path

The Akasha is the landscape upon all paths exist.  It is the fundamental framework for there to even be a path.

As the source for the context of space and time, the Akasha is the backdrop upon which all events transpire. It is the fifth element, requiring the highest subtlety of discernment to perceive. Akasha is the substance of which awareness is aware. That of formlessness (God) pouring through form (Goddess).

All events in our life happen in the spacetime of the Akasha and it’s reflection in the material plane as the World Tree.

Walking the roots and branches of the World Tree

….

The Akasha and the World Tree are the same pattern, expressed in it’s quality of ‘Heaven’ and ‘Earth’. They are different ways of looking at the same phenomena that change depending on where one looks from.

In the simplest form, the Akasha is the canvas of ALL spacetime, where and when all events happen. The World Tree is how they are occurring now, in the physical plane. While we can conjecture or divine about events happening in the far future or past, there is a present Now that we are experiencing the mortal condition. That Nowness, that “beingness”, of being awareness inhabiting a body made of the incarnate plane and the rootwork of synchronicities and interconnected patterns that defines it’s experience in the material plane, is the World Tree.

Walking the deeper elemental imprints of the Underlands

One is always walking the pattern along the branches of the akasha in it’s manifestation as the World Tree.

It is on this level of perception that one moves through the underlands, the vibrational landscape of which the surface plane of perception is an expression.

Moving between relams experienced in the deva planes

As one deepens in their journey towards the formlessness of Source, the branches and rootwork along which the impressions and mythologies of the material plane occur dissolve, and one perceives things on the more elemental level of the deva.
