To assist us in making the journey to Heaven on Earth along the heroic journey of our timeline, we must understand the nature of the self and it’s placement within the space of the akasha and the causal rootwork of the World Tree.
At the core of the journey to a new reality along the rainbow bridge is the understanding that You are the point around which your World turns. That the reality that you live in is a reflection of the known *and* unknown energies which make up your current prism of self, that what is within, manifests without, taking on a variety of different forms as you make your way through the substance of the akasha from one locus point to another.
We are always living in the expression of the impressions that make up our current self. Always living in the manifestation of the light through the looking glass of our Story.
This relates deeply to the ancient teachings which speak of the fundamental physics by which our experience unveils. Where phrases like ‘As Within, So Without’ and ‘As Above, So Below’ take on new significance as clues to understanding one’s journey from one realm of reality to another.
While all potential realities that ever will be exist within the context of the akasha, we only experience a certain range of those realities in our current incarnation. A particular timeline, a particular threadline of circumstances within the tangle of synchronicity that underlie our experience.
In alchemical terms, this is our sacred journey of coming to ‘Know thy Self’, to understand the impressions that make up our current self and how to transform them to walk the rainbow road to a new reality.
To put this in an ancient format, the World Tree is the expression of the patterns in the Akasha which are playing out as your personal myth. The aka threads of your legend. As we learn to walk the subtle roads within, we move across the realms of the World Tree, to new places and positions in the infinite potential of the Akasha, applying the alchemies to change the lead within to gold and thus live in the Golden Thread, the brightest version of our potential Story.

The human body can express the symbol of world axis. Some of the more abstract Tree of Life representations, such as the sefirot in Kabbalism and in the chakra system recognized by Hinduism and Buddhism, merge with the concept of the human body as a pillar between heaven and earth. Disciplines such as yoga and tai chi begin from the premise of the human body as axis mundi. The Buddha represents a world centre in human form. Large statues of a meditating figure unite the human figure with the symbolism of temple and tower. Astrology in all its forms assumes a connection between human health and affairs and the orientation of these with celestial bodies. World religions regard the body itself as a temple and prayer as a column uniting earth to heaven. The ancient Colossus of Rhodes combined the role of human figure with those of portal and skyscraper. The image of a human being suspended on a tree or a cross locates the figure at the axis where heaven and earth meet. The Renaissance image known as the Vitruvian Man represented a symbolic and mathematical exploration of the human form as world axis.
