There is a special technique to the photography of the Mythica. A way of using the art to document the territories of one’s sacred Path across the underlands of the subtle World.
Into the Mythica started from the idea of using my photography to anchor my remembrance. To help me build a map back to the reality that I was experiencing when I shot the photo. In the game of forget and remember, they were my greatest allies, documenting the Path back to myself through golden breadcrumbs of witnessed light.
In this style of documentation, I would never set up the photos. Rather, I witnessed the realities that unveiled around me as I continued my inner and outer journey across the underlands of the Mythica.
Over time, the shots would help to anchor my consciousness, allowing me to see the greater pattern that lay beneath the surface of our lives. To witness the wonder as an explorer across the many realms of the Akasha along the timeline of the Journey Home. In this way, I would not simply tell the people about the Worlds of myth and legend, I would show them, offering that portal of remembrance to us all.
As it turned out, I didn’t have to, as I was led from one mystical set of experiences to another, encountering what occurred for me as the avatars and characters of the magical Worlds. Here, I saw myself as an explorer, shooting photos of the realms and realities I encountered along my journey deeper into the Mythica, intent on the purpose of using those photos to provide a trail for others to follow.
In this way, the photos would document the yoga of arriving,
This relates intimately to the idea of one’s movement from one set of conditions to another, for in order to witness a new reality, one must do the inner work required to reach that new position.
We must learn to walk the rainbow road of our own light, or own colours. To become something new and live in a new World. In this way, the photography serves as an autobiography of movement, witnessing our journey to the deeper realms of our potential.
How this relates to you as an Author
As Authors in the Mythica, we are documenting our heroic journey for the Readers. Using our photographs as golden breadcrumbs of illumination to the point-of-story that they document. Where the photography is about *how we got to the circumstances* we are witnessing and their context in the Great Story.
There is a great difference in the approach to setting up a photo shoot and to witnessing one’s storyline over time in the context of a heroic journey.
As I saw this pattern, that of witnessing one’s Path, play out through the various social media channels, where individuals would speak of their shamanic experience, I saw the Mythica fill a need. Helping the people to see the greater context of their own unfoldment. To make their own journey from forget back to remember.
