The Structure of Spells

In The Mystic Arts by Peter Fae

Magic is structural. During this episode from the Mythica, we talk about the structure of spells, what they are made of, how they function, and their relationship to the heroic journey, referencing the akasha and the prime elements in which things are made.

Weaving a spell, seen through the Mythica

Such is primarily based on the understanding that all expressions, all talents, all ‘prayers’, ‘manifestations’, ‘spells, or other namings have a basic structural component – they are made of very specific textures of vibration which match the current energies of one’s subtle body.

From this context, the different arrangements of these vibrational patterns on the causal and subtle levels of perception manifest as conditions in our lives, and that the action of holding those matrixes and allowing mana to flow through them is the form of a spell.

Approaching this from a sculptural angle is very empowering, for it makes the mystic arts about that very creative process of humanity – Art. About working with a medium to create a form. It suggests that there is a form beneath the form, a matrix of vibrations which is more constant than the costumes it wears on the surface.
