Braid – Spellcraft & Divination

The study of magic in the mountains, 2003–2007: apprenticeship at the Academy in Lake Tahoe with the Oracle Le Fay (Cassandra) and Yvonne Eisenberg — the faerie arts and the divinatory arts. “Elements of Magic” and “Arts of Magic” (2005): tarot, astrology, runes, and the elements, studied as a distinctly divinatory style of magic in which the elemental substance of people, places, and events is directly perceived. The archetypes of the tarot were then met in the actual people encountered on the quests — all part of one geometry of story seen from the Akashic perspective, which culminated in the synergistic download at Emerald Bay in 2006’s “Landscapes of Legend.”

The braid also carries lived spellcraft: rhyming spellwork in cadence as a real gravity that shifts consciousness (“open portals in the mind, feel myself almost refined…”), casting spells and lyricals to bring things into form, and dance-magic invocation — the 2014 “In the Name of Love” working that moved through karmic impressions via dance to summon a lover (Adrienne Awen, herself of Faerie). Divination is the ongoing navigation method of the entire Quest: tracking synchronicity, reading the threads, the long movement from incoherence to coherence — from delirium toward discernment.

Constellation: The Instrument — Perception & Divination
