Course Description
Every breath you take is part of your story. Every choice, every challenge, every triumph – they’re all chapters in an epic that’s uniquely yours. But have you ever wondered if there’s a hidden pattern to it all? A deeper structure beneath the seemingly random events of your life?
What if I told you that your story isn’t just a collection of random moments, but a living, breathing journey that follows ancient patterns of transformation? Like a river finding its way to the ocean, your life moves through territories of experience that heroes and mystics have mapped for millennia.
I’ve spent twenty years documenting the hidden architecture of story itself – photographing, mapping, and proving that there’s a profound geometry to our journeys. Through my lens, I’ve witnessed how personal stories aren’t isolated islands, but threads in a vast tapestry. Each challenge you face, each insight you gain, fits into patterns as old as storytelling itself.
Think of your timeline as a sacred map. Those moments when everything changed? Those weren’t accidents. Those challenges that seemed to arrive at precisely the right moment? Not coincidence. They’re part of a deeper design – one that you can learn to recognize, understand, and consciously navigate.
This course isn’t just about understanding story – it’s about seeing your story for what it truly is: a mythic journey unfolding through specific patterns and principles. When you understand these patterns, you begin to see your challenges differently. Your obstacles become opportunities. Your struggles reveal their purpose. Most importantly, you discover that you’re not lost – you’re exactly where you need to be in your own legendary tale.
You’re about to discover how your personal journey fits into the grand architecture of Story itself. Not as some abstract concept, but as a living, breathing reality that you can document and track through your own experience. Are you ready to see the sacred geometry of your own legend?
Course Outcome
Course Outcome:
By the end of Live Your Myth, participants will have a foundational understanding of the 8 principles of myth and how these principles apply to their personal story. They will have practical tools for recognizing moments of Kairos, aligning with their Mythos, navigating emotional challenges with Pathos, and responding to life with an integrated Ethos. Ultimately, they will be empowered to live their myth as a conscious, intentional journey of self-discovery and fulfillment.
Course Outline
Introduction — Intro to Living your Myth
You are already on a heroic journey. This is how to see it.
An orientation to the Mythica and the heroic landscape — how the great myths relate to your personal story, what this course offers, and the larger map of the Grove of Life framework.
Lesson 1 — The Mythica Thesis
Story has a physics. Your life obeys it.
The central claim of the Mythica: story is not metaphor but structure, and the patterns of myth are the actual architecture of lived experience. Introduces the Tree of Stories and the distinction between Stars (subtle/inner) and Soil (embodied/outer).
Lesson 2 — The Labyrinth of Life
You are already inside it.
The Labyrinth as the structure of karmic unfoldment — spiraling, not linear. How the walls of the labyrinth are made of pattern, and how mythic awareness becomes the thread that navigates it.
Topics:
- Labyrinth of the Mind
- Threads through the Labyrinth
- Alice in Underland
- Spirals of Story
Lesson 3 — Myth of the Self
Life is mythology. The place where fact and fiction meet.
The self as a living myth — constructed, not fixed, and always in the process of becoming. The body as axis mundi, the Law of Correspondence, the Shadow → Gift → Siddhi arc, and the inner cast of archetypal characters.
Topics:
- Myth of the Self
- The Body of Consciousness
- Law of Correspondence
- Being and Becoming
- Archetypes of the Quest
Lesson 4 — Principles of Myth I
The grammar of your story's surface.
The first five Principles of Myth as living forces already operating in every story: Logos (structure), Mythos (pattern), Eros (longing), Pathos (feeling), Ethos (character).
Topics:
- Logos
- Mythos
- Eros
- Pathos
- Ethos
Lesson 5 — Principles of Myth II
The grammar of your story's depths.
The second five Principles — the forces that operate at the mysterious, purposeful, and cosmological dimensions of myth: Mystos (sacred unknown), Ergos (sacred work), Kairos (significant moment), Telos (soul-purpose), Theos (divine intelligence).
Topics:
- Mystos
- Ergos
- Kairos
- Telos
- Theos
Lesson 6 — Scenes in Your Story
Your story is made of Scenes. Each one is speaking.
The Language of Legend — your personal symbolic vocabulary, the looking glass of the self, and how to read your story in real time. Scenes of Significance, Scenes in the Holy Wood, and the fundamental arc of Trauma → Trial → Treasure.
Topics:
- Scenes of Significance
- Scenes in the Holy Wood
- Scenes — Trauma, Trial & Treasure
- Repeating Scenes
- Spirals of Story
Lesson 7 — Threads of Life
There is a single continuous thread running through all of it.
The Thread of Life as the actual structure of your journey — Ariadne's thread through the labyrinth, the tension between Fate and Freedom, monocarnate and transcarnate perspectives, and the World Tree as the web of interconnected stories.
Topics:
- The Thread of Life — Your Timeline
- Threads of Fate & Freedom
Lesson 8 — Path & Purpose
Your life has a direction. It was there before you could name it.
Purpose as discovered, not decided — Telos made practical. The relationship between Path and Story, the felt sense of aligned vs. misaligned movement, and Purpose as service to the Great Story.
Lesson 9 — Navigating the Labyrinth
You have always been navigating. This is how to do it consciously.
The heroic landscape as literal terrain. Synchronicity as the primary navigational language. The Akashic Compass as conceptual orientation tool. The Three Questions of Navigation, and the art of discernment — signal vs. projection.
Topics:
- Nature of the Quest
- What is the Quest?
Lesson 10 — The Unified Field
There is only one field. You are both moving through it and made of it.
The foundational cosmological recognition of the Mythica — no separation between self and landscape. The Law of Correspondence revisited at its deepest level. The World Tree, Totems & Affinities, and the Great Story as the context for all individual mythic journeys.
Topics:
- Law of Correspondence
The thread is in your hands. The labyrinth is alive. The story is still being written.
Live your myth.
