The Spring Equinox just happened, and yet here in the mountains of Tahoe-Tahingaard it is still blanketed in snow. The Emerald, the magnificent steed granted to me by Joshua in appreciation for the teachings I gave him over the years sits waiting, ready to charge forward in my growing abundance.
There is a deep magic to this. What we experience on the surface of the world is merely the tip of the iceberg of something larger, something more expansive and more elemental, something that goes beyond what we perceive things to be in the shallow waters of our own regard. In this the Emerald is more than a car, more than a burly subaru making her way through the snowdrenched mountains, she is my horse, my ship and sometimes my home (though thankfully not for the past year as i’ve had a place to stay), and the vessel for my movement forward.
Many times in our quest we are reduced to what seems like nothing, like when I lived in the Emerald with naught but a backpack full of clothes and the unwavering intent to bring the magic to the masses. It was a difficult period when I was not regarded by the community, unrecognized and uncared for by the masses of people I descended to this frequency to serve. Yet while it was hard, while I suffered through the constant feeling of having to forge through the karmic patterns that limit our access to the assets of consciousness, the Emerald was there, as well as the libraries of story which held space for me and my sacred mission beyond the pale horizons of the people. Such is the truth of the quest, that our perseverance, our constant effort to transform ourselves in service to something greater, is supported by a benevolent Universe, though it may not seem like it at the time.
As I contemplate this, I see a message from Cassandra, my fellow oracle on the mountain, heading southward on her own quest. In this I see us both as aspects of that larger devotion, the willingness to make the effort to live in a more magical world, to embrace the possibility of being a living myth in the context of the modern world.
