      2023-12-25 – Christmas Day

There are many times when I see how far from my position on the rainbow road most of the world is, as I must ask Cassandra to remind me what the “Christmas” holiday is all about. In response, she smiles sweetly and explains that it’s a celebration asserting the dominance of the new religion over the old religion, replacing Saturn with Christ in a quick change of costume. She continues on to share with me the idea of the “return of the light”, reminding me of the solstice ritual we just attended and the way in which such things define the cycles of our lives here in the mortal plane.

It’s meaningful to me in the sense that in my descent into the orientation of the lower chakras there has always been a deep distance between my sense of identity and it’s orientations and that of the common world, where such things as ‘Christmas’, ‘Hanukkah’, ‘Kwanza’ or similar occur as by-products of various cultures and religions occurring as vastly impermanent things across the ethers tied to the promise and problem of identity itself. In it’s context, I appreciate the expression of joy and gift-giving that accompanies it, yet the cultural associations are far, far less resonant to me than the natural cycles from which they were derived, so much so that their very existence in the field is often forgotten.

This could be difficult to see if one lived deeply within one of those realms, surrounded by the repetitive vibrational signature of it’s shape in the ethers as most people are. It is without doubt the perspective of a being who lives outside the patterns which define everyday culture, where the idea of the thing and it’s utterance occurs in such small frequency as to be unnoticed. Accordingly, there are many times when some holiday or cultural event is happening in the common world of which I am unaware and uninvolved.

… i’ve come to see this as a by-product of a more yogic archetype, the sage hidden away in some cave, some forest or mountain away from the mainstream world, where the song of Nature rings more fully than the tin bells of mortal ideas. It is a thing that clarifies me in it’s wake, my true context being the unfoldment of my personal timeline and it’s growing coherence, the realization of my distance from the identities and cultural definitions of the world part and parcel of my sacred purpose, revealing again the karmic synchronicities that give rise the sense of self itself. It is without doubt the perspective of the seer and the sage, the viewpoint from the mountain which watches the circus of the valley from an eagle’s view.
