You are the center of the world. Not in the ego's sense, but in the cosmological one. The axis mundi — the "axis of worlds" — is the vertical center-point through which all realms of consciousness are connected: the spine of the self, the trunk of the World Tree, the sacred pole around which the manifest world revolves. Every person has an axis mundi. It is your personal Tree of Life. To understand this is to understand that you are not a passive observer of the world but its organizing center — the singularity through which the vast pattern of the cosmos flows into a specific, embodied, living story.

In the Mythica's framework, the axis mundi is not only a philosophical concept but a physical and energetic reality. It manifests in the body as the spine and the nervous system — the central channel through which the life force moves, and in which the karmic patterns of your experience are stored as vibrational impressions. What you have experienced, what you have not yet processed, what you carry as shadow or hold as gift — all of this is encoded in your subtle body along the axis mundi, organized through the chakra system that runs from root to crown. To work with the axis mundi is to work with the fundamental architecture of yourself.

The principle most directly associated with the axis mundi is "As Above, So Below — As Within, So Without": the understanding that your inner vibrational state is always reflected in the outer conditions of your life, and that movement between realities is accomplished by changing the inner, not by forcing the outer. If your inner landscape is characterized by scarcity, the outer world will reflect scarcity. If the inner world is coherent and aligned, the outer will reorganize to reflect that coherence. The heroic journey is always an inward journey first. The transformation of the axis mundi — the clearing of the karmic impressions, the opening of the chakras, the alignment of the self with the telos — is what changes the outer world.
