At the eve of the New Year, I am invited to a gathering by Fern DeFay, one involving many of the feral personages of the Fae realms. Here, she invokes as a Priestess of Funk, an act of magic I find so delightfully evolved, for it invokes the spirit of What Is, rather than that of what was.


I see a flash of starlight, of neon faeries dancing in geometric patterns upon a nearby van. Mmm. How I wanted a ship that I could sleep in. As much as I loved my truck, the dream of a self-enclosed vessel to travel the realms was so soothing.
It is a beautiful energy, yet an ancient one, full of the patterns of the olde Word. As I step into the City of Portals, the energy draws me onward, to the Refuge hall, where I encounter the magicians of Onedoorland and other emissaries of the Galactic …
The New World


I glance around the space, led to witness a couple of photos.
The radiance of magic around them is palatable, flush and flickering across the field. I sense the tones of Egypt, of the Stars and Fractals
