Late night, and i’m up working on the Mythica … feeling into the shapes and geometries of the worlds.
It’s an ongoing process. One which speaks to the deepest ideas around spellcraft, around the magnum opus of one’s life’s work and the ways in which we divine our way across the canvas. Magic, by definition is difficult to explain, for it speaks to the nature of things beyond our perspective at it’s core, and in this case it relates to the larger scenes in my story, the way in which things have gradually unfolded. It’s been the characters falling into place, the building of the site, the gradual unpacking of my story and the larger mythos of it’s context moving across the world.
I don’t mind it. There is a definitive sense of growing clarity, one which speaks to the massiveness of the spellwork itself, where I have had to tendency to feel like the site is ready, that things are in place, yet where things have required a seemingly endless amount of work, doing and redoing the pieces of the story, divining the bits, creating the systems to support it, all within the context of both an internal and external reality.
It’s not that I don’t see how to launch the site soon enough, but rather that with every corner turned there are new revelations into the form, new ways of seeing that which was already going on. There is the sense that it is unfolding, gradually, like the petals of a flower, and that I can only work with what I can see at any given moment, that my own movement and clarity is connected to the divinations themselves.
