I wake up in the realms of clan Schindel alongside my fae brother Malakai, who shows me around his property in the light of day. As he does, I witness a heart carved into the cement, a fitting emblem for the aka of family and fellowship that is part of Malakai’s gift to the worlds.
It has always been easy with Malakai. Amongst the lords and ladies of Faerie, he is one of those with whom I have had an easy fellowship of clear water without ripples, our shared sense of the sword and of the honor between allies an unbroken constant across the landscapes of our shared stories.
To be in his realms, flush with his paintings and sculpture and radiant with the mythos of the modern world is deep remembrance, heralding a feeling of dropping into the verdant quietude of the trees, into the green and the gold of the fae clans and their assembled tribes across the northwestern territories.
As I make my way down the northern road the Land reflects my passage back to me in symbols and signs, some subtle, some glaring, all speaking to the language of my legend, to the way in which the ‘verse reflects me back to myself on my passage through the mortal plane. This time, just as I am reflecting on the service to the Tree of Life that has been my journeywalk across the rainbow road, I encounter the “Grandfather Tree” , a massive 1200 year( at least) presence whose gravity I can feel all throughout the forest. It feels a great affirmation to me, a recognition from the Goddess that I am re-entering the realms of the Green, that I am moving towards deeper resonance with Nature herself, moving towards the rejuvenation and healing of my body and mind on the paths of the deep Green.
