realms

The world you live in is not the only world available. It is simply the one your current inner field is generating. Realms are the territories of consciousness through which the heroic traveler moves along the rainbow road — the worlds within the world that exist at the subtle layers of the land and that are made of the karmic impressions and qualities of aka that define any given configuration of consciousness. In the simplest definition, realms are states of being experienced as locations: when one is in a particular version of oneself, living from a particular configuration of inner qualities and karmic conditions, one inhabits a corresponding version of outer reality. This is the principle of 'as above, so below; as within, so without' operating as the actual lived geography of the heroic journey. The realms are not merely inner states projected onto a neutral world; they are actual territories in the subtle dimensions of the earth's body, hanging like leaves from the branches of the World Tree and accessed by passage along the rainbow bridge

Realms can be understood as the chromatic expression of one's chakras projected outward into the landscape of lived experience. The specific elemental qualities, archetypal themes, and karmic conditions that define one's current position in the World Tree manifest as a specific realm — a specific quality of environment, relationship, circumstance, and opportunity that reflects and corresponds to the inner field. One can be in realms of abundance and grace or realms of scarcity and suffering; in realms of beauty and creative vitality or realms of stagnation and contracted possibility. And crucially, the same outer location can be experienced as entirely different realms by two beings at different points in their inner development, because it is not the surface geography that defines the realm but the quality of consciousness through which it is perceived and engaged. Two people can stand on the same street and inhabit entirely different worlds.

The realms are the central navigational territory of the Mythica — what all the maps, all the documented adventures, all the sacred cartography is ultimately mapping. By tracking the quality of the realms through which individual adventurers have moved, and by correlating these with the inner states, practices, initiations, and breakthroughs documented along the way, the Mythica builds an evidence-based cartography of the World Tree as it manifests in lived human experience. This cartography serves all who are navigating the heroic journey: showing what kinds of inner work correspond to what kinds of realm-shifts, what qualities of consciousness are required to arrive in what kinds of outer circumstance, and how the law of correspondence operates in specific, mappable, reproducible ways across the landscape of the Great Story. The map is not the territory. But a good map of the realms is among the most valuable things a traveler can carry.
