“Dawn of the Dragon”

"Dawn of the Dragon" March 23, 2016

Matriarch of Dragons

The World Tree speaks to me as I look at him, the branches and their shadows carrying a divination, our paths diverging in the underground forest.

I don’t want to accept it.  To accept that I cannot provide for my beloved friend.  That he will not receive my attempts to heal him with my magics.  I feel helpless, looking starkly at the reality that I must go on without him.  That I will be alone once more along the rainbow road.

I see it so clearly.

I cannot do it.  I cannot give him this thing.  This essence of the Divine Mother, the nurturing attentiveness that I cannot even recognize to give myself.

It hurts to recognize.  Yet what North needs is what matters.  There is nothing I will not do for him, including letting him go.

Dreams and Portents – Mindvalley and Agape

Receiving the dream of sharing the Mythica with Mindvalley and Agape from God and working towards that goal.

Honoring the Deva

It is fitting, for it was Samavesha’s divination that led me to this place, her oracular talents arriving in perfect timing on the Quest.

Wolf Blessings

I am amazed.

With virtually no money of her own, Morgaine’s radiance of nurturing is a force, connected to a community of townsfolk who she rallies in service to North.  From free meat garnered from one of the towns markets to acupuncture to rolfing sessions and animal communicators, she works tirelessly to help him in all the ways that I cannot.

Walking the Dragonspire

The mountain herself IS the Dragon.  Is the spires and the stones, the colors and the crystals that make up the spine of a massive living intelligence.  As I walk the hills and climb the rocks, it’s voice speaks to me in tones of seasons, and I feel myself shifting, changing, taking on the aspect of the terrain upon which I walk.

I am told there are those who consider Crestone to be the western Himalayas.  As I move upwards along the Dragonspine, I see why, passing a number of caves with the remnants of campfires along the trail.  Even briefly entering, I feel the vibrations, the intensity of spiritual process still reverberating in the memory of the stone.

I’m led to witness a photo, where the deva make their presence known, opening a window into the Mythica, where the luminance of my third eye manifests through the space.

Clouds & Taverns

I make my way to the local speakeasy, an offshoot of the Elephant Cloud market which acts as a local venue and coffee shop.  As always, such places are sacred on the adventurer, for they are the places where the heroes gather and Quests collide.

The Town Tavern

Eyes of Krystal

It is not lost on me that the glyphs of the Butterfly and the Tree make themselves known on the wall behind us, reminders of the underlying idea which connects us all.

Songs for the Naga

The Mythica pours through me as we speak, the tattered prayer flags behind them, our meeting in synchronicity by the Naga blessed waters, the journeywalk to the stupa, all part of a territory of living archetypes, the substance of stories themselves, each of us playing our role inside the much larger landscape that supported our stories across the territories of the Mythica.
