God Loves You

2016 – Spine of the Dragon

2016-6-14

Peter and I would take off from the Sunshine Palace in Crestone to make our way west to the Cosmic Carnival, a gathering of the galactic in the forests of California.

It was hard for him to leave North, the Great Wolf, his sacred traveling companion who came to him at the moon spell during the Academy of the Ancient Arts… Yet, North had told him it was time to move on.

Peter had agreed to show me the roads of the Mythica, what he had learned and the wisdoms therein of the Craft, so that I may too document my adventure. We became as brothers, where I would share the alchemies of the elements as I learned them. As he would share where qualities arose within the Field of the Akasha, I would practice and reflect the mindfulness of the somatic body. We were as Sifus, each bowing to the quality of teaching that each embodies, both student and teacher to one-another.

We began our trek across the Mojave Desert. I tracked the maps of the Earth, while he of the Sky. With just enough money to get across the country, we negotiated the sharing of resource. A time had come where we saw the truck was at nearly empty, and the food supplies ran thin. Anxiety hit my stomach as he reminded me of faith…

We stopped, as I was able to find a station a few miles down the road. We roll in, only to discover it was closed and unable to provide fuel. I look up the nearest station… 80 miles away it read. We wouldn’t make it. Yet, a car pulled in that moment, listening for the intuition I ran to ask them for help. They told us of a station only 8 miles down the road, that we were able to make it to in the nick of time.

I breathed into the feeling of uncertainty inside as we made the last stretch, the sun setting on the red rocks. We pull in, on fumes nonetheless. Perfect timing…

when I come out Peter is standing there with a couple in red shirts… I approach, as he hands me a styrofoam box to my surprise reading “God Loves You”, opening it to a couple slices of pizza.

Turns out they were missionaries from a nearby church, handing out food. My spirits rose by the affirmation.

Reflecting back, though the forms they ware change, they were agents of the Divine Will, of the goodness and grace.

It was a proof of the Physics of the Quest, that we are supported by the friendly universe. That despite the difficulty, and how things seem in the moment, it’s all a part of a larger plan and purpose.

Kings of the road

My intuition after we rested was to stop by the spring near Sedona, to balance the fire of the desert with the waters of the green.

Along our journeys, the watering holes near such vortexes have proven to be a nexus point of types. A place common to all our pilgrimages, where we come to refresh and fill our cantines, to connect with the sacred land.

Places where we encounter other adventurers…

It was here we first met Niekko Chin, the producer of Zen Awakening. He had just come from Shasta, where he was given the vision for the festival. A fellow geomancer making his way across the leylines on the skin of Gaia.

Inviting us to feast with them, he invites us to come out for the festival and share our magic. Yet further gifts from the garden showing we are supported, and an affirmation to the guiding vision.

He was traveling with two performers, John and Casey, teaching them the ways of busking earned along his many years in Cirque de USA. I see why Peter was drawn to him, we angelic brothers share the quality of Kingship and the Road, Gypsies and Performers in service to the Awakening.

There I shared my sacred song, about shining our light and trusting in the Way.

They invited us on a hike up to Chapel Rock, a place whose lore had come to me in the past where the masculine and feminine leylines converge in a vortex of harmony.

You never know what’s going to happen on the adventure. As we hike up the path the sense of fellowship hangs in the air amidst the auburn tones of the red rocks.

The sacred waters beckon us to serene contemplation, as we cross. The shimmering rays of the sun blessing our way.

The stones call to me, inviting me to drop in deeper to feel the Earth within my blood and bone. To sense the mysteries of the land, and her story to tell.

We approach the lake, sitting with Niekko in his capacity as magician, inviting us to join in a meditation.

The twisted juniper guided the way up the red rocks, swirling along the energetic currents of the leylines which converged at Chapel Rock.

Just as we surmount the peak and find ourselves within the reach of the center column that defines Chapel Rock, the sun kisses the horizon, falling into the grasps of night.

It was a powerspot, where the polarities come to union, where harmony could be found. The richness of the red rocks was painted by a range of colors cast by the setting sun over the valley, a palpable sense of arrival and witnessing of the beauty that nature has to offer.

Call of the road

Blessed by the offering of a crystal and a flashlight from Niekko, Peter and I continue our journey west. In the morning I gave my devotions to the land, drawing upon the vital energy in an act of self-love. Peter worked diligently on the iPad to weave the Mythica.

There was conflict. He wanted to keep going to be prudent in our passage, yet I wanted to take time to soak in and appreciate life. We negotiated to fairness, hearing either side, resolving and clearing the energy within which gave way to an expansion. A further transmission of the Rainbow Road through the colors of our Prism of Self came through Peter, and I was led to journal of the nature of authenticity, surrender and the path itself. It came through for me that we act as Sacred Mirrors, each embodying a quality of consciousness for each-other as we learn to navigate to right relationship.

Continuing on, we stop for some Chipotle where we spot a cellphone store where Peter wanted to investigate the fix to his service. Nourishment and Communication in the realms… there a native brother and sister offer me a sage blessing after I shared my flute-song.

Crossroads of Faith and Grace

Again we are back on the firery roads of the Mojave, shifting deep into the Deserts of Yang. The distortions of fellowship arose within the field. Fire burned within, as Peter mourned the loss of North and the fact that people were not responding to him. As we stopped, a man from the medicine community in Crestone that I was a part of during my earlier journey messaged me insulting me, and the steward of the land I was just staying on said I was no longer welcome.

It was deeply frustrating, as I tried to meet in an open communication yet was met with nothing but defense. I was sad, and Peter was angry, I was in a quality of water and he of fire, we were unable to meet each-other in the intensity and stopped for the night. I tried to offer advice instead of compassionately holding space, which is a part of one of the core conflicts we’ve both had with the realms of community.
