Stars and the Soil
Mythipedia Entry – Stars and the Soil
Stars and the Soil – The structure for existence as a pattern in the heavenly and earthly planes of existence. Also known as the Akasha and the World Tree.
In many traditions this is known as the distinction between ‘Heaven’ and ‘Earth’, or ‘Earth’ and ‘Sky’, and refers to the distinctions of form and formlessness within the space of the Akasha as it expresses itself through the World Tree.
In this context the Akasha and the World Tree are different expressions of the same thing at varying densities of form. They are the pattern of the subtle world and it’s expression in the material plane, the stars and without our experience and the world that gives them life.
In the context of one’s adventure, all quests happen between the Stars and the Soil, in the many realms of the underlands that manifest across the layers of the land. Key to understanding this is realizing there is no separate between you and the land.
