surface maps
A map which shows the surface of the world. An artifact of the Mundus. The standard form of an atlas as it has been perceived in the common world. Surface maps detail the world seen at the level of the terrasphere, and exist at a high degree of impermanence, changing over the tiny span of a few hundred years. They are comparable to the subtle maps showing the realms of the underlands, the land-beneath-the-land.
